The assault on Kavanaugh is proving Trump voters right

Via John

Brett Kavanaugh

The attempted political assassination of Brett Kavanaugh is bad for the country, but good for a Trumpian attitude toward American politics.

The last-minute ambush validates key assumptions of Trump’s supporters that fueled his rise and buttress him in office, no matter how rocky the ride has been or will become. At least three key premises have been underlined by tawdry events of the last couple of weeks.

  1. Even on this side of the pond, cousins, we can smell the stink of the rot and corruption falling from the mouths of the wormtongues who are trying to destroy you and take your Republic from you. I have no skin in this game other than some possible distant blood ties**, but I will pray that God willing they will not succeed.

**It is an oral family legend passed down generation to generation that an ancestor of ours was ‘…transported to the Americas for the taking of deer and the assaulting of Keepers in the King’s forest.’ Knowing my family that could well be true, but I am not inclined to condemn him because in those days, as a commoner, he would have been presumed guilty by allegation not innocent until proven guilty. Some things do indeed come full circle.

  2. The Democrats, namely Sen. Feinstein and Congresswoman Escue, victimized Dr. Ford. She testified that she wanted to ANONYMOUSLY get the info re: the incident to the Senate Judiciary Committee AND President Trump. Feinstein or her Rep, or both, either leaked or allowed her letter to be AGAINST HER CONSENT! Her lawyers failed or refused to inform her that the Senate committee would come to her in California and interview her PRIVATELY. They are as much abusers of Dr Ford as what Judge Kavanaugh is accused. Only thing is WE KNOW, "beyond a reasonable doubt" they have done it! --Ron W

    1. Like my bumper sticker* says, "I'd sooner French-kiss a rattlesnake than trust a Democrat!"

      * Hey, I gotta try to make a buck; private school for my kids is NOT cheap!
