The High Price of NC Democrats’ “Promises”

Via Cousin John

  • North Carolina Democrats have outlined election year “promises” in a new document, Our Carolina Promise
  • Implementing the proposals would add nearly $5 billion to the state budget
  • To finance these “promises” would require either a 38 percent personal income tax hike or a 65 percent increase in sales tax revenue
To win votes this election year, North Carolina Democrats are making grandiose promises that, if implemented, would cost state taxpayers at least a staggering $4.8 billion in new spending.

  1. Wonderful. I moved here from Massachusetts to avoid taxes and legislators like that.

  2. well, every thing will be free won't it? Like, nobody has to pay for a high school diploma already so it should be free to get a university degree too! and teenagers never pay rent or pay for their food so that is free already so it should always be free. and we need internet and cable to be free as it has always been for teenagers!
and there you go ruining, I say RUINING the buzz by talking about what some fat ass old white guy is going to have to shell out so tomorrows leaders can have all that free stuff. or is that wrong?
