‘I’d rather be poor and master of my own fate’: Multimillionaire actor Michael Caine on Brexit

Multimillionaire actor Michael Caine has claimed he would rather be poor and in control of his own fate, than the current 'fascist’ alternative by which people he doesn’t know and no one has elected make him rich by running it.

The legendary British actor, who has starred in iconic films such as ‘The Italian Job’ and ‘The Dark Knight,’ has been a staunch supporter of the UK leaving the EU. He insists that any fears over a ‘no-deal’ Brexit are simply the result of scare tactics.

    1. I remember him from Alfie as I saw it as well as The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and Doctor Zhivago right before I went to Vietnam.

    2. I agree bogsidebunny. Oberst Kurt Steiner was an incredible character played very well by Caine. The book by Jack Higgins and the movie are two of my favorites.

  2. “If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
    ― Samuel Adams

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom....."

Today I was watching FBN and investors were criticizing "the FED" for raising interest rates preferring the artificially low rates, obviously controlled and manipulated, just so they could 'make a profit.' It was an astounding thing to hear from those who claim to prefer a free market clamor for financial servitude as long as the master doled out a few crumbs to his slaves.

The words of Mr. Rothschild rang loudly in my ears..

“Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws.”
    ~ Mayer Amschel Rothschild

And then, of course, he explained his mission a little better to his children...

"Remember my children, that all the earth must belong to us jews, and that the gentiles, being mere excrements of animals, must possess nothing." -- Mayer Amschel

It troubles me to my very soul to see and hear how many prefer servitude. Surely the Almighty shall not squander such a precious gift as liberty upon those who do.

    Y'all have a nice day.

Do nothing and make $2.5K+ a month tax free. 'Welfare' needs to go back to 'relief'.

    2. My wife came from a poor Italian family in up state New York. There were 9 kids, the husband was a poor provider, often absent, and so there were times when they did not have food or electricity.

When they were eligible for "relief" it came in the form of canned goods and bulk cheese. It was very much in line with Mr. Franklin's admonition that the worst thing you can do to a poor person is make them comfortable. Because of her circumstance she is a very hard worker.

I would be remiss not to mention the fact she has embraced our Southern heritage to the fullest extent possible and it a true blessing in my life.
