False Messiah

A review of Abraham Lincoln: Redeemer President (William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company, 1999) by Allen C. Guelzo.

Presidential hopeful John McCain recently stated that he was of “the party of Lincoln, not Bob Jones.” This could be taken in ways the gentleman from Arizona never intended. For it was not Bob Jones who said “I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white women.” Those were the words of an earlier presidential hopeful, Abraham Lincoln.

In this Age of Information it is remarkable that anyone would appeal to Lincoln as the politically correct standard for race relations. The Party of Lincoln rhetoric, for years the shibboleth of all national Republican candidates, is illustrative of the pervasive Lincoln myth that has held sway in American thought for over one-hundred and thirty years.

  2. Lincoln was the worst sort of despot. He repeatedly violated the Constitution. He violated the procedure for the admission of states such as West Virginia and Nevada because it was to his political benefit to do so.

He arrested the elected legislatures of Maryland and Missouri and imprisoned them without trial. He violated the laws concerning the call up of the militia and waged war without the consent of Congress.

Lincoln suspended the right to trial and arrest, even imprisoning the head of SCOTUS because this man wouldn;t tow the line.

Worse he waged war for money. He repeatedly lied regarding the cause of the war. It is fact that the Constitution was ratified with the proviso demanded by three states, that they could leave the Union, at any time for any reason in return for ratifying the Constitution. Look up which three states required this.

Finally Lincoln refused the South's efforts to leave peacefully. In short the man was a horrid, little, power lusting politician.

Need more proof, what kind of man refuses to exchange the wounded, sick, dying, and drummer boys? The kind of man Lincoln was.

Want to know what kind of character a man has, look at those he surrounds himself with. Lincoln choose the most extreme, fringe, violent people he could find. Doubt it, after his death these men rose to lead the Republican party where they proceeded to carry out a series of kangaroo courts to execute innocent people without proof. These same individuals destroyed the South to insure the Republican party would dominate the country for 70 years.

Germany had its Hitler, the United States had Lincoln.

  4. On the first anniversary of Lincoln’s assassination, Eugene Williams offered a toast to John Wilkes Booth: “Here is to the man that pulled the trigger — That killed the man that freed the nigger.”

    2. He was a member of the Texas Confederate Guerillas.
Lifted from a Harvard encyclopedia, a New England professor wrote: : The South defeated Reconstruction with great energy and ingenuity.”

The Black Republicans achieved an empty victory, which explains why the South was reinvaded in the 1960s, i.e., the 2d Reconstruction.

Cullen Baker’s East Texas Guerillas continued the fight after the war. On the first anniversary of Lincoln’s assassination, Eugene Williams offered a toast to John Wilkes Booth: “Here is to the man that pulled the trigger — That killed the man that freed the nigger.”

One third of the state police in Texas were ex slaves.
Not a good place to be during reconstruction.

I surely hope the Confederate loyalists are there to respond in
    Confederate fashion.

    2. Of course. Discrimination is vogue for them. Or is it
their racist confusion. Not exactly the Founder's plan.
Unlike the South, the USA is not a nation.

    3. He Brock. On the site 'RockStoneMountain' I watched a video
earlier today with two guys and a woman talking about the
dire straights we are in today regarding the stagnant
environment for Whites. It is no longer there nor is it
part of my history. Is it there when you pull the site up
and do you recall the video?

    5. Hi, again Brock. No, it's not on the site anymore.
I guess the Bolshevik's third eye removed it.
      It was an excellent presentation.
