Why Trump will win the wall fight

Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, “If my fellow citizens want to go to hell, I will help them. It is my job.” He was expressing the limited role of courts in challenges to federal law. It is not the task of judges to sit as a super legislature to question the agendas of the political branches. They will gladly send Congress to hell. It only needs to point to the destination.

In the matter of the border wall, Congress could not have been more clear where it was heading. It put itself on the path to institutional irrelevancy, and it has finally arrived. I do not agree there is a national emergency on the southern border, but I do believe President Trump will prevail. This crisis is not the making of Donald Trump. This is the making of Congress.

  1. Check out Typhus on the southern border , that is good enough reason to build a wall .

  2. After Trump signed this latest travesty of a spending bill with ALL the protections and tax money provided to illegals the wall is a waste of money. It is time to work on plan B. The U.S. as founded, or at least what is left of it, is now on death watch with NO chance of survival.

Trump is pissin down our backs while telling us it's raining.

    Y'all have a nice day.

    1. Unfortunately, the House and Senate had the votes to overturn a veto.

    2. I still maintain that even with the House and Senate being able to overturn a veto, he should have vetoed it and made them go on record doing so. The end result would be the same, but there would now be things to be held against the RINOs and GOPe traitors.

    3. The problem is that he SUPPORTED it, just he has ALL the insane spending bills passed during his Presidency.

A pertinent question would be if they would have had those votes if he had OPPSED it? I seriously doubt it and there is honor in the effort to opposed i.e. veto such overtly outrageous bills.

I'll offer this link from the pro-amnesty National Review as an example of just how bad this bit of treachery is for those seeking to preserve the remnants of our republic and the inheritance of our posterity.

This is what happens when you never venture from the wine and cheese parties in Georgetown.

Turley needs to come to El Paso and set up a booth saying he's 'tired of the Juarez Cartel's monopoly' and list his new undercut prices.'
