    1. family continuity

Thank you and unfortunately Christine got that wrong. My g,g,g grandfather built the Georgian in 1790, the Federal in 1810 and they were combined in 1988. Out family lost this after the War in 1866, which was not an usual occurrence, and I found out about the restoration in the first issue I subscribed to of Historic Preservation. I contacted them, gave them info which they didn't have and I said if you ever sell it call me first. At any rate on a Sunday afternoon, I called them from CA and Earl Roberson, a distance cousin of mine was mowing their lawn as they were gone. He told me that they told him the night before at supper that they were going to have to sell it as it was just too much for the husband to commute back and forth to Virginia for his teaching job anyone.(He had lost the one he had locally) At any rate, the rest is history! :) If you ever come up this way please let me know and come visit for a while Thanks.
