... Waite Rawls the SCV member ... promoted the merger of the Confederate Museum with the yankees. Rawls is not into the Charge to the SCV, nor is he supportive of the true history of the Confederate veterans and the South. The SCV leadership and membership ought to be strongly Confederate but it's not. Our leadership ought to represent the Confederates of the UCV instead of the diverse thinking of some modern SCV leaders and members.
Our Confederate ancestor were right.

Veteran reenactor John Spaziani, dressed head to toe in Confederate Capt. Samuel Cooper’s uniform, was impressed by the museum’s historical accuracy.
“The display of the surrender at Appomattox is impressive because it includes Gen. (Robert E.) Lee, Gen. (Ulysses) Grant and President Lincoln,” Spaziani said. “Unfortunately, it also has the battle flag of Northern Virginia, but it’s a part of our history.”

Among the other issues I also find this one disturbing "...the ONLY pictures of white Christian men are Lincoln and Davis."
ReplyDeleteMy first concern is the "only" part of it and my second concern is the historical accuray of claiming the bastard lincoln was a Christian. Certainly President Davis professed his faith but the bastard lincoln..I've never run accross it.
