Armageddon on the Horizon?

Trump supporters should let Trump hear from them as he is about to commit the United States to a war of Israel’s choosing.  A mutual defense treaty between the US and Israel would give Israel the ability to commit the US to a war in Israel’s behalf.

Remember history.  It was British prime minister Chamberlain’s guarantee to Poland that started World War II.  The idiot British lost control over their own policy and gave it to a crazed and irresponsible Polish military dictatorship.

The attack on the Saudi oil fields that Trump and Israel are blaming on Iran is almost certainly an  attack by Israel.  The attack is being used to start a war with Iran.

Putin needs to speak up now before the war starts, because it is impossible that Russia will be able to avoid involvement.  The chances are substantial that Armegeddon is about to unfold while the world sits stupidly.

  1. I am a Zionist Jew. I oppose such a treaty; I would support a supply Israel in a war treaty, but not one that could drag America in militarily.

But let's not ignore Shiite Islam. According to Shia Islam, the end times with their version of the Messiah cannot come until there is a world-wide conflict.

Realistically, WW III is around the corner whether or not it starts in the middle east. There are too many piles of interconnected tinder around the world, and too many people playing with matches. SOMETHING will go up, and when it does it'll spread.

    1. Especially as the Iran-backed Houthis (sp?) claimed credit for it!

Iran wants a war. IMHO this is a test: what do the Saudis do?

    2. IF ONLY there were a way to get the Sunnis - globally - to go to existential, extermination-level war with the Shiites - globally - but not drag everyone else in. And in my little fantasy, they both lose.

  3. I'm partially blind but are you all talking about the USS Liberty?
Excuse me if I am mistaken.

  5. "It was British prime minister Chamberlain’s guarantee to Poland that started World War II." Really? The start of WWII had nothing to do with Hitler's insatiable appetite to acquire "living space" for the German people? The invasion of Poland occurred AFTER the Nazi's and Russians initiated a peace treaty which included carving Poland between them. The "phony war" started with Nazi incursions into sovereign Poland and blaming the Poles for initiating military action. Perhaps this argument would have a little more credibility if the author was historically honest. Having said this, America would do well to refrain from any foreign entanglements that would force us into conflicts not of our choosing

    1. Thanks.Lee to Lord Acton:
“I yet believe that the maintenance of the rights and authority reserved to the states and to the people, not only essential to the adjustment and balance of the general system, but the safeguard to the continuance of free government. I consider it as the chief source of stability to our political system, whereas the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded it. “

  6. Thank you for this. How prescient/prophetic. Our Republic has proved to be both outwardly aggressive and inwardly repressive. If we had listened to the wisdom of our Founding Fathers, and considered the sage wisdom of Lee and others, we might not be witnessing the soon and inevitable collapse of the "grand experiment" that is/was America.

Thanks again for the treasure of your efforts on this website!!!
