Map Shows States That Have Shuttered Gun Stores

Those states that have put the squeeze on FFLs — WA, MI, NY, NJ, NM, DE, MA — have done so because officials believe gun stores are “non-essential” businesses and therefore should be closed under the various shelter-in-place directives aimed at “flattening the curve” or slowing the spread of the novel coronavirus, as GunsAmerica previously reported,

More than a handful of other states have taken the exact opposite approach to ensure gun stores stay open during the crisis so that citizens can continue to exercise their right to keep and bear arms.

  1. Running out to buy a fire extinguisher after your house is fully engulfed does no one any good, except for salesmen of fire extinguishers. If anything, every human being with 2 functioning brain cells to rub together will remember this and run out and buy as many guns as they can carry as soon as the bans lift. Even though most people are stupid, most people also learn pretty fast when they are left no other option. To me, this is just like the guy to runs to LOWES to buy a generator when he hears the hurricane is coming. Then is shocked that LOWES is zero balance on those, because the other guys got there first. Buy your emergency supplies BEFORE there is an emergency.

    1. And support your right to own and carry arms BEFORE you need it, just to make sure it is there when you do need it.

    2. The little gun shop here is doing a booming business but there is a lot he can't get. Really bad timing when they stole my two this year but the two replacements came in yesterday fortunately. The local dealer couldn't get them but Buds still has a huge stock. The new KOMRAD is only available through Atlantic Firearms and they sold out today but more should be coming.
