How WHO Became China's Accomplice in the Coronavirus Pandemic

Dear Dr. Tedros: On April 14, 2020, I suspended United States contributions to the World Health Organization pending an investigation by my Administration of the organization's failed response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This review has confirmed many of the serious concerns I raised last month and identified others that the World Health Organization should have addressed, especially the World Health Organization's alarming lack of independence from the People's Republic of China. Based on this review, we now know the following:

  1. President Trump has given them '30 days', presumably from the date of his letter. Thirty days after May 18th would be June 17th.

    II would not have been so lenient. In these days of the electron zipping around the world in a heartbeat it doesn't take long to get mobilize your team to make 'major substantive improvements'. Besides, if they said they need 20 days, I would give them five just to make them sweat. Consider how many deaths would not have occurred if the information was received timely.
