Thanks. I was at USARV Headquarters and the only way you could get a 1049 approved was for door gunner. That MOS trumped the Headquarter's wishes. I flew on that particular Huey in 2017, when I was at a reunion of the 117th AHC (the unit crest on the right side of the tail is the 117th), at Indianapolis. She was in country a couple of years after I was however, so we had never met before. None the less it was a great introduction.
That is a purty site! I have ridden in a few in my day until the transited to Blackhawks. I liked the Huey better.
