As the gap between Left and Right becomes even more unbridgeable, I am put in mind of the situation in Northern Ireland or the bitter war in Lebanon.

POTUS is hoping to bring the Army home from Nato, Iraq and Afghanistan . . . and maybe some of its other committments as well.

I wonder does he see a gathering storm here at home, with the Army acting as the British Army in Northern Ireland, or the sad NATO force in Lebanon?

Lots of hand clapping over the huge volume of guns and ammo sales of late.  If its commies buying that crap, it may not be the cause for cheer we think.

And they ARE arming up.  They have an established, trained, armed militia already, but like the JDL or JDF, one mustn't speak of that.  Whatever, it's real and ready.  For all practical purposes, they hold the Left Coast, the North East and a chunk of the Midwest.  Their 'Viet Cong' fills the South and the Cities.

The Right has no significant capability, regardless of the poseurs on the web.  No one has recruited, organized, trained and equipped so much as a platoon of irregulars among the 'normies'.  The Army and the Guard are no longer bastions of middle class Conservatism.  I'd say half would throw in with a Leftist insurrection.  The Privates and Corporals, the 2Lts are  Y O U N G.  They live across the divide from Mom and Dad, they live on 'social -ist media'.  They don'tknow shit.  Me 'n Eastwood, Marvin, Gunny Ermey are not out there with them anymore.  Been a long time since 2001, a lot of our best kids are killed, maimed or disillusioned now, and even more ar not kids any more and long since out.

Who showed up to defend even one of the monuments?     Anyone?  Beuller?
