From Asheville to Trashville

From Asheville to Trashville

Though it’s not politically correct to say, today’s blacks benefited immensely from the horrors suffered by our ancestors.…Had there not been slavery, and today’s blacks were born in Africa instead of the United States, we’d be living in the same poverty that today’s Africans live in and under the same brutal regimes.
~~Walter Williams
For all the blathering we’ve heard over the past few months about how “systemic racism” is the nation’s biggest mortal threat, it’s become sparklingly clear that the real problem is systemic stupidity.

The country is currently in the throes of fatal conniptions over idea that there’s some solution to “inequality.” Not for a second has anyone paused to ponder that perhaps the true cause of inequality is the fact that people aren’t equal—never have been, never will be.

Tucked away in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville, NC would be a little slice of paradise if it weren’t infested with Marxist bluehairs transplanted from the Northeast who see it as their solemn moral obligation to carpetbag the local blacks into endless frothing fury about the supposed indignities of being black in America, as if it’s not measurably better than being black anywhere else on the planet.

Maybe, maybe not. If so, at least we'd have the same poverty
amongst our own. The people who moved to Asheville were earthy
type people, people who wanted to be close to God, who loved
tradition and serenity and the simple way of life. Asheville
was but a dot on the map so what made the trashy communist/
socialist types arrive. I could never figure it out unless
it was advertisement. One noticed their invasion immediately as
they were totally different and did not belong.
And these reparations, what a crock. The Appalachians were
the poorest of all and Appalachians didn't like blacks; for
that matter who does except a phony liberal

    1. Maybe like the ones who went to Haight-Ashbury.

    2. Had to look up Haight-Ashbury. Never was a hippie and did
not admire their life style. Some more history of their
      socialist life style:

Seems there was outside influence encouraging the
      anti-American behavior. Sound familiar?

  2. The Biltmore House owned by George Vanderbilt brought in a bunch
of blacks to work at the house while the family lived there.
The blacks were not from here but transported to Asheville.
    Why blacks and not Appalachians.

  3. I live about 22 miles from the Assholeville (my spelling) line and I see mostly Yankees who've moved from the North-East to escape the congestion, taxes and crime. Sadly. the Carpetbaggers brought their baggage along with them. It's turned a once proud city into a progressive sewer.

  6. I'm from Brevard. We are being hit with the transformation. Daily I cringe at the NY license plates. Sylva, thanks to WNCU is being hit hard with leftist. Who are these people to judge? I've made the point elsewhere, 90% of the Blacks in WNC mountains ancestors where not here during slavery, they came in to work the railroads, and mentioned above, the Biltmore House. But, we have to remember the old 60's radicals said it, "the issue isn't the issue, the issue is the revolution".

  8. In Sylva, NC, they are after the Confederate monument there
which has sat in front of the court house for one-hundred yrs.,
    Silver Sam.
You know who the ones who are causing this problem, the invaders.
They couldn't live and let live - no - they arrive to destroy.
The native Sylva residents are fighting back but the invaders
are always aggressive. And they come in hordes. I can see where this will end.

  9. Durham going the reparations pathway too. NC was cursed when
we got that damn faggot-looking Cooper. Paying for something
    that doesn't even belong:
