N.C. House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) responded Tuesday to a purported settlement agreement entered into by Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper’s State Board of Elections and partisan Democratic lawyers from Washington D.C.
Major election changes included in the “consent agreement” released
well-after voting has already begun in North Carolina include:
- Rewriting the statutory deadline for the receipt of absentee ballots.
- Subverting the absentee ballot witness requirement agreed to in the Bipartisan Elections Act of 2020.
- Rewriting the statutory definition of “postmark”
- Weakening protections against ballot harvesting
State House Speaker Tim Moore released the following statement:
More @ Speaker Moore

ReplyDeletethe republican party organization that is so good at knocking on diors and getting out the vote needs to shift it's focus to...BALLOT HARVESTING.....NOW.
