The Die is Cast . . .

By noon on March 16, a mass of humanity; troops, dependents, and civilians, were clogging the old road. Some 400,000 civilians, 60,000 ARVN, and 7,000 Rangers began the attempted escape to the sea.29
By the time that the last straggling men, women, and children had reached Tuy Hoa on the coast; 300,000 civilians, 40,000 ARVN, and 6,300 Rangers were missing, never to be accounted for.

Dark clouds obscure the sun, rain in the offing, the whole week.

The Angels weep.

And so the bright experiment ends, a farcical coronation behind barbed wire and bayonets.

The long dark night descends on America, and by extension, the world.

History tells us, day will not dawn again, for a long, long while.

What was, was, what is, is.

A truism of these latter days is "You will never vote your way out of this!"

Sad for the innocents, dead and yet to die.  Sad for truth, Sad for honor. Sad for Freedom
