Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) warned the universal checks will translate into a national gun registry. The Wall Street Journal quoted Good saying, “This bill creates a de facto gun registry by involving the federal government in every gun transfer, including private transfers and gifts, or else how will we enforce these requirements?”
Good added, “For my Democrat friends who suggest that conservatives and gun owners are paranoid about a national registry, you bet we are.”
A significant gun control measure mandating universal background checks passed the Democrat-controlled House Thursday with the help of eight Republicans.

ReplyDeleteDoes it really matter? I don't for 1 minute believe we voted ourselves into this mess and I don't believe we can vote ourselves out of it. Voting is useless when the system is rigged. We're going to have to do something different to select our representatives.
