Republicans fight Democrat push to compromise voting rules

"I said this bill's title is a misnomer because I do not believe this bill has anything to do with the American people. It is a bill by the majority, for the majority, and is intended to entrench the majority in power for years to come.

"At each turn this bill is designed to rewrite the current rules of our elections in a way that benefits Democrats. It changes voting laws, election laws and campaign finance laws. It imposes from Washington, DC, a one-size-fits-all regulatory scheme on each state. And what's worse, it does this even though states have traditionally been allowed to generally run elections however they see fit."

Despite unanimous Republican opposition, House Democrats have passed a bill which would make radical changes in state voting laws.

"I said this bill's title is a misnomer because I do not believe this bill has anything to do with the American people. It is a bill by the majority, for the majority, and is intended to entrench the majority in power for years to come.

  1. Excuse my ignorance but isn’t this Bill a violation of the elections clause within the Constitution which is why States run elections as they see fit? And if so, doesn’t this Bill have to be submitted as an amendment to the Constitution and go through all of the hurdles such an undertaking must??

    1. Hadn't thought of this, which is not usual for me:), but sounds correct.

  2. For a long time now any bill that has a "name" can pretty much be counted on doing exactly the opposite of what the name implies.

As for whether or not this bill is "constitutional".... that's irrelevant when you OWN the judiciary who rule on such issues.

The left STOLE the 2020 election. They didn't even try to hide the fact. Now they intend to implement rules to insure they can NEVER be voted out of power. And once again they really aren't trying to hide what they are doing. They are that secure in their beliefs that they control EVERY facet of government, the media, academia and Big Tech. And apparently they are correct in those beliefs.

TINVOWOOT. The only recourse left to "we the people" now is violence. And the sooner we apply it to them the more of our society will remain to be salvaged.
