Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on Migrant Children: “This is not our problem; this is the president’s problem, he is the one that opened the borders"

GOP Governor Says She Won’t Take in Migrant Children, Says the Quiet Part Out Loud

A Republican Governor said recently that her state does not have the capacity to house migrant children who have come into the country illegally amid the country’s ongoing immigration crisis, arguing the problem was created by President Biden and so he has the responsibility to fix it.

“We don’t have the facilities. We are not set up to do that,” Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds said during an interview with WHO radio on Thursday, during which she announced that she recently turned down a request from the Department of Health and Human Services to house hundreds of the migrant children.

  1. The Fed Gov has a LONG history of creating problems, foisting them onto state and local governments to solve and then threatening sanctions if nothing is done about the problem they created. It's where the term
    "unfunded mandate" originated.

    1. Would be a good ticket but that works only if Trump doesn't run.

  3. Talk is cheap. Until this governor and other governors use their National Guard and State Police to round the illegal aliens up and dump 'em back into Mexico the country is going to be over run. Of course that'll never happen so the alternative is to start learning Spanish

  6. Good for the Iowa Governor. However, there are other ways to thwart her refusal to cooperate with the Feds. The "religious" NGOs like Catholic Charities and Lutheran/Samaritas get big bucks for resettlement of refugees and all these new arrivals are claiming asylum. Chamber of Commerce demands more immigration, wagging the Dog (Noem is one of those bait & switch Dogs).
