House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has said former Vice President Mike Pence is not a traitor and defended him after some hecklers accused Pence of treason during a speech on Friday.

McCarthy, a Republican who represents California's 23rd congressional district, told Fox News following Pence's speech that the former vice president had "stood right by" former President Donald Trump.

Pence was met with some shouts of "traitor" on Friday during his speech at the Road to Majority Policy Conference in Orlando, Florida. The event was hosted by the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

  1. These RINOs still don't get it. Trump transformed the NeoCon Republican party into the America First Republican party and as much as they wish to the contrary there is no going back.
The 2022 elections may prove to be the most critical in a century. If they become 2010 elections on steroids the irony would become that a Trump lead House and someone like Rand Paul or Ted Cruz running a veto proof Senate could accomplish more than the Trump Presidency ever could.
