General Ambrose Powell (“A.P.”) Hill is a three-time war veteran of the Mexican-American War, Seminole War, and Civil War. He was buried standing up on the soil he loved in Richmond, Virginia, inside a monument dedicated to him. The A.P. Hill monument (and grave) is slated for demolition under the unhinged authoritarian Democrat Mayor Levar Stoney. Stoney feels that despite a worsening opioid epidemic in Virginia, despite small businesses suffering due to COVID restrictions, his time (and NAACP donor money) is better spent desecrating graves.
By pursuing these plans, the city will potentially be committing class 4 and 6 felonies. According to the Code of Virginia 18.2 – 126, if a person unlawfully disturbs or disinters a human body which has been placed in a vault or grave, he or she is guilty of a class 4 felony. Virginia class 4 felonies can carry fines over one hundred thousand dollars and imprisonment, but courts often order higher amounts if there is evidence of malice or wanton disregard. This is especially the case since Hill was buried standing, so disturbance of the body will obviously occur. The City of Richmond has indicated that it will order all wrecking crews to complete the demolition with “the utmost care” but this is not enumerated in the City of Richmond’s Municipal Code. The City of Richmond often hires non-local construction crews to complete Confederate Monument demolition (see the hiring of Newport News teams) , adding insult to injury as the city refuses to hire its own people and provide some economic relief while being hellbent on digging up dead bodies.

So who is going to block the desecration of Hill's grave?
ReplyDeletethe deceased still have some legal rights when it comes to how their body is handled and treated. The most important parts of our
history is being destroyed and trying to replace it with a
bunch of rubbish. Just like Waco, no real Americans defended
those people from being massacred. Yea, they watched the
massacre on TV or radio but that is it.
Can't believe it, but we may well end up a commie country.
DeleteBrock, I hope you are having a Happy Father's Day with your
ReplyDeleteloved ones.
The same to you. Thank you and I'm actually documenting more of my childhood in Fauquier and Loudoun Counties (Mosby Country) for posterity. On NamSouth you will find many of the stories and here is about the best line I've ever heard. (Which says a lot):)https://www.namsouth.com/viewtopic.php?t=246&highlight=marshall

Spaces, hmm. Do you have stores of Bourbon in your

Excellent humor. Mosby was another one of my favorites,
i.e. The Grey Ghost. Per Gen. Lee, "I wish I had 100 men like Mosby."

ReplyDelete"The newspaper reported that the firm, created 10 days before Stoney ordered the statues removed, is a shell company linked to Team Henry Enterprises, a Newport News-based contracting firm owned by Devon Henry, a Stoney donor."

To circumvent laws against desecrating graves, the Democrats are reportedly designating the grave a threat to traffic safety, giving them the power to remove it. ( Gateway Pundit )
ReplyDeleteThe Confederacy had more courage and integrity in their little

And the slave plague, bring out the bulldozers.
Absolutely.
DeleteThis article is calling the graffiti on our public roads
ReplyDeletememorials. Laughable- graffiti, period. Memorials are the
great CSA monuments to immortalize our great defenders of
the Confederacy. They are going after the patriots who
are burning rubber on graffiti aggressively. One in NYC.
