I don't fully understand this. Abbott says they will be arrested and brought to the state house to conduct business. So the Texas state House of Representatives will be conducting business while they are under arrest? Something about that doesn't sound right. They went AWOL. They should be arrested, given a dishonorable discharge and replaced.

DeleteAbbott shod simply declare their seat vacant, call for snap elections and prohibit any of them from running. Yeah the vast majority will be replaced by other demonrats but the precedent will be set. They were elected to do a job, do it or lose your job permanently.
ReplyDeleteWhat's good for the goose is good for the gander. They use them as guard animals quite a bit in Vietnam. When you open a gate to go into someone's house, they immediately go for your legs making a big ruckus. :)

The proper solution is no arresting them and taking them to the statehouse.... it's arresting them and locking them up in the Big House....where they belong. The real solution would have been an air to air missile.....would have solved most of Texas problems permanently.
