ReplyDeleteI guess things don't change much over the years do they. My one year younger brother and I attended elementary school in Houston. What would now be called a vibrant ad diverse neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteWe were regularly in the principal's office for fighting. Seems when a minority, the majority feels they can do as they please to you, with you and around you.
Then, as now, neither of us took much gruff and were more than willing to defend ourselves and our honor.
Mom never hesitated to defend us and to remind us that if we were to start the fight, she would make sure we regretted it. She also mentioned if we did not fight back, we would also regret it.
The last fight I was in was against a black kid in elementary school. Beat. The. Sh*t. Out. Of. Him.

DeleteIf anyone tried to hit or kick my kid in the head I'd fucking break the offending limb clean in two right at the joint. I wouldn't care if it was a kid or a teen or an adult. Any blow to the head is highly likely to be fatal. Especially if the attacker is standing over the victim on the ground.
