Yes.... everyone coming in to an ER will be masked. It's now SOP. And NO...a flimsy mask doesn't change the amount of oxygen entering your lungs. If your O2 level is low without a mask it's because your lung parenchyma isn't absorbing the oxygen at the alveolar level adequately. Masking won't alter that. As for her "changing their protocol" in the ICU.....total bullshit. NO hospitalist or internist is going to change a godamn thing they do just because a family members insists. Most of them won't even consider altering their protocols even if their patient is an MD. What they WILL do is invite you to AMA and take your ass elsewhere. I find this woman's hystrionics to be mostly bullshit. And Pneumonia is a condition....a "disease" that is usually caused by some other factor, site a pathogen or an exposure to a chemical that causes the lungs issue to react badly. It's a term used to describe a disease PROCESS that can have many different causes.

ReplyDeleteHospitals or medical personnel who do not recognize the benefits of vitamins need to have their license revoked. And now politicians are being lobbied to restrict vitamins to prescription only. Why is the medical profession going down the same dysfunctional road as the public education establishment?

Dan; So what are you, a Judge or a member of the Jury? What category defines you? A Big Ass, Fat Ass, Ass Wipe or a Sick Ass or A Smart Ass which is a Dumb Ass, but you are too narcissistic to know that Jackasses come with various degrees, some MDs, PhDs, and some measured by Judges with Decrees!
