I reckon he would have carefully chosen his route. A long while back I had the idea of following the route of certain pipelines across the country. I was studying geology so the ride appealed to me. What better than by horse, a horse can go where even a 4 wheeler cannot. I did not make any of the trips I had in mind. In my planning I discovered interstates and housing divisions in my path. More is the pity. But good for this man.
On another note, in a different time, I think we would not have heard of this man on a horse making this trip. We would not have heard because it was common. Today, it is not common so we hear of it and we watch the video and think it amazing. Well, it is amazing, in this time. Even more is the pity. For how we long for tradition and traveling by horse is a rich tradition.

I can ride a mule for three days, and I am ready for three more. . For an eye-opener, ride behind a gaited mule. Then follow any horse, even a Tennessee Walker.
