A Russian analyst who contributed to a dossier of Democratic-funded research into ties between Russia and Donald Trump was indicted Thursday on charges of lying to the FBI about his sources of information.

The case against Igor Danchenko is part of special counsel John Durham's ongoing investigation into the origins of the FBI's probe into whether Trump's 2016 campaign and Russia had conspired to tip the outcome of that year's presidential campaign.

The five-count indictment accuses Danchenko, a U.S.-based Russia analyst, of making multiple false statements to the FBI when interviewed in 2017 about his role in collecting information for Christopher Steele, the former British spy who was paid by Democrats to investigate connections between Trump and Russia.

  1. Looks like Durham found a nobody to be a skapegoat. There's a photo of Danchenko here: https://www.the-sun.com/news/3999112/who-igor-danchenko/

  2. If his lawyer is competent he will demand the deepest witness protection possible for his client. Otherwise he will get Arkanside before you can say Arkanside.

  3. Another dancing monkey. Nothing will happen to him or to those who used his fictional work. The FBI and DOJ are involved in the investigation and were colaborators. It is just a distraction from the current election fraud.
