  1. He was a good man, he was tasked with flying the retaliatory mission after they flew around the alleged hostile area.
The first flight ,,no aggression was shown. But he was sent back to retaliate.
August 1964, Stockdale’s squadron played a role in the Gulf of Tonkin incident, which involved North Vietnamese attacks on U.S. naval vessel

That is bullshit. I have his interview cut out of the Odessa American where he States that there Was no Tonkin attack on a ship. We were lied to in order to manufacture consent. Th,th,th,that's all, folks.

I have an article I cut out of the Odessa American where he explains this, I wanna say it was 1980,,
You gotta read between the lines, because he never says he was the first pow. But he clearly states that our ships are just blowing ammo downrange.
It was all lies. It's really hard to change core beliefs. I was raised answering that history test question
What happened to get America into the Vietnam war?
It was the attack on our ships in Tonkin Bay.

If you want, give me some contact info, I'm sure I can lay hands on it under five minutes. I'll copy and send it.
Cheap bastid I am will whimper, but I'm sure I would be happier
    if someone wanted a copy.
