Mother Gives Life Protecting Child from Vicious Rescue Dog Attack: ‘I Have No Arms and I’m Dying’

& the first thing that any sane person would ask........

On Dec. 8, mother-of-two Heather Pingel of Bowler, Wisconsin, was faced with a tragic choice that most parents never have to make.

In a strange series of events, Heather’s 4-year-old son Damion Bernarde took a tumble down the stairs, which appeared to trigger the family dog and it attacked, according to OK! News.

Seeing the dog strike, Heather quickly shielded her son and the dog went after her, instead, injuring her severely and leaving her mangled and struggling for her life.]

  1. I was 95% sure of the dog breed before reading this story.

  2. This breed should be outlawed. A friend had one and the dog snapped. It attacked her for no reason. When it attacked her husband, he put it down for good. The veterinarian said this bred is unpredictible.

  3. "Police reports revealed that the dog, a pit bull, had been abused in its former home and was known to be aggressive, according to WBAY-TV. Shannon added that Heather had a tender heart when it came to needy animals and believed they could turn things around for the rescue dog."

Abused animals are much more likely to have issues.

    Y'all have a nice day.

  4. Well, she was dumb for taking in that damn dog. But I watched a tv show where some guy was living with 6 foot long lizards in his apartment. And after a while they killed him. People discovered his body when he didn't show for work (I seem to remember). Darwin award winners.

  5. I kind of blame the husband. Yes, women can have such tender hearts that it clouds the logical side of their brains. Men on the other hand, must think more rationally. Imagine a dad of very young children allowing an abused dog from a breed that is renowned for its jaw strength, its aggressiveness and its ability to flip a switch in its head and attack/kill everything in sight (like a US Marine in kill mode). He failed his family.
