A Government Against Its People
"The stage is now set and soon there will come a time when the police cannot be paid, when hospitals have not been reimbursed and have defaulted on their responsibilities. Doctors will go home. Nurses and others will drift away, unpaid. City workers won’t keep up utilities, or man water supplies. Garbage will pile up. The private sector, what is left of it, will slowly grind to a halt and enterprising people will develop a barter system."

Revolution Against Banks: Withdraw Your Money
"Never, under any circumstances, ever become a refuge... Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about."
-- Ragnar Benson

"We don't pick up weapons to kill people, to start the revolution... the revolution is really easy to do nowadays. What is the system? The system revolves around the banks. It's based on the power of the banks... so it must be destroyed starting with the banks. This means that the 3 million people with their placards on the street... they go to the bank, withdraw their money from the banks and these ones collapse. 10 million people and the banks collapse and there is not real threat, a real revolution. We must go to the bank. In this case there would be a real revolution. It's not complicated. You simply go to the bank in your country and withdraw your money. If there are enough people withdrawing their money, the system collapses. No weapon, no blood, or anything like that."

China Downgrades US Debt
- Cut long term US sovereign rating one notch to A+ from AA, with a negative outlook.
- "The serious defects in the U.S. economy will lead to long-term recession and fundamentally lower the national solvency. The credit crisis is far from over in the United States and the U.S. economy will be in a long-term recession. In essence, the U.S. government's move to devalue the dollar indicates its solvency is on the brink of collapse"

Survival
"Why is it so difficult to explain survival to family and friends? Well, for starters you first have to explain that the country they think they live in simply no longer exists."

Are We Raising A Generation Of Nincompoops?
"Second-graders who can't tie shoes or zip jackets. Four-year-olds in Pull-Ups diapers. Five-year-olds in strollers. Teens and preteens befuddled by can openers and ice-cube trays. College kids who've never done laundry, taken a bus alone or addressed an envelope." Yep.

The counter argument is that these "antiquated" items/skills won't be needed after awhile because of the advancement of our way of life. Don't count on this, as these old skills will mean the difference between life and death if we have a collapse of our society which is more than possible.
