Pastor’s AR-15 Giveaway Creates Outrage In New York

 

The pastor of a Lansingburgh Baptist church plans to give away an AR-15 assault rifle to the winner of a free raffle at an upcoming Sunday service.

A provocative flier he distributed rallied supporters of gun rights and stirred controversy among anti-gun advocates and some who considered it un-Christian.

The Rev. John Koletas, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, said the service and gun raffle are aimed at “honoring hunters and gun owners who have been so viciously attacked by the antichristian socialist media and antichristian socialist politicians the last few years,” according to a letter he posted on the church website.

March 8, 2014 2:31 AM Recently the EU Committee asked some questions to Edward Snowden and this are his answers. Here is an interesting quote: The NSA granted me the authority to monitor communications world-wide using its mass surveillance systems, including within the United States. I have personally targeted individuals using these systems under both the President of the United States' Executive Order 12333 and the US Congress' FAA 702. I know the good and the bad of these systems, and what they can and cannot do, and I am telling you that without getting out of my chair, I could have read the private communications of any member of this committee, as well as any ordinary citizen. I swear under penalty of perjury that this is true. And here about the whistleblowing: Do you feel you had exhausted all avenues before taking the decision to go public? Yes. I had reported these clearly problematic programs to more than ten distinct officials, none of whom took any action to address them. As an employee of a private company rather than a direct employee of the US government, I was not protected by US whistleblower laws, and I would not have been protected from retaliation and legal sanction for revealing classified information about lawbreaking in accordance with the recommended process. It is important to remember that this is legal dilemma did not occur by mistake. US whistleblower reform laws were passed as recently as 2012, with the US Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act, but they specifically chose to exclude Intelligence Agencies from being covered by the statute. President Obama also reformed a key executive Whistleblower regulation with his 2012 Presidential Policy Directive 19, but it exempted Intelligence Community contractors such as myself. The result was that individuals like me were left with no proper channels. Do you think procedures for whistleblowing have been improved now? No. There has not yet been any substantive whistleblower reform in the US, and unfortunately my government has taken a number of disproportionate and persecutory actions against me. US government officials have declared me guilty of crimes in advance of any trial, they've called for me to be executed or assassinated in private and openly in the press, they revoked my passport and left me stranded in a foreign transit zone for six weeks, and even used NATO to ground the presidential plane of Evo Morales - the leader of Bolivia - on hearing that I might attempt to seek and enjoy a sylum in Latin America. So, who is lying? Obama said that Snowden should have talked to his superiors about this. Snowden says here that he did exactly that. I would put my money on Obama. In defence Obama could say: "Ich habe es nicht gewusst". But I don't buy that. Obama is to clever and tacky for that. He knows what's going on. We are not talking about G.W.Bush. Which brings me to my question: Why? Why lie about this? Do they believe that Snowden would keep quite about this? Why not, for once, admit that they made a mistake and move on. Why didn't we heard from Obama that Snowden DID ring the bell the ordinary way? That's what's bothering me. The lying in public. The arrogance. And that they are getting away with it.

Oklahoma House Votes to Protect Property Rights from Feds and UN

With radical U.S. government and United Nations schemes such as “sustainable development” and UN Agenda 21 being quietly implemented across America at all levels of government under a variety of names and pretexts, lawmakers in the Oklahoma House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly this week for legislation to protect the unalienable rights to private property and due process in the state. The “Oklahoma Community Protection Act,” which would nullify Agenda 21 and other outside assaults on individual rights in the state, now goes to the Oklahoma Senate.

Elderly Woman To Remain Jailed For Feeding Birds

A woman who was arrested last month for feeding wild animals will stay in jail for now after her latest arrest.

A judge decided this morning to hold Mary Musselman, 81, behind bars after she allegedly violated the terms of her probation.

Musselman originally went to jail back in January after wildlife officers said she violated probation by feeding bears in and near her backyard. They said she had been warned not to feed wild animals last November after wildlife officers had to euthanize a bear she had been feeding.

A judge gave her probation at the time, and made it clear: Do it again, and go to jail.

ObamaCar Replacement Batteries Cost $34,000 According to GM Dealers

Here’s the good news about the ObamaCar known as the Chevy Volt: There haven’t been any reported fires connected with the ObamaCar since the company recalled 8,000 of the electric vehicles—that’s one in six vehicles.

That is no fires, if you don’t count the people who’ve been “fired” from the Volt production line as sales continue to make Obama’s “one million” electric car promise just another broken dream in a crooked scheme.

Obama promised that by the time he finished as president, he’d put a million electric cars on the road.
Thankfully, he won’t quite make it.

No telling how much it would cost to put a million on the road after calculating the costs of putting 60,000 on the road.

Russia reinforces military presence in Crimea & mulls freeze on US military inspections under arms control pact

Dozens of military trucks transporting heavily armed soldiers rumbled over Crimea's rutted roads Saturday as Russia reinforced its armed presence on the disputed peninsula in the Black Sea.

Moscow's foreign minister ruled out any dialogue with Ukraine's new authorities, whom he dismissed as the puppets of extremists.

The Russians have denied their armed forces are active in Crimea, but an Associated Press reporter trailed one military convoy Saturday afternoon from 25 miles (40 kilometers) west of Feodosia to a military airfield at Gvardeiskoe north of Simferopol, over which a Russian flag flew.

Some of the army green vehicles had Russian license plates and numbers indicating that they were from the Moscow region. Some towed mobile kitchens and what appeared to be mobile medical equipment.

The graphic above indicates how serious the Interior Ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become about dealing with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Kingdom of Qatar. The diplomatic spat between Qatar and Saudi Arabia certainly has become greater as the Saudis fear that the Qatari government might well be playing the Brotherhood against their interests in the Middle East, complicating their ability to expand their relationships with China, Europe, and quite possibly even Israel regarding dealing with their long time enemy, Iran.
