Marine LePen Slams French Establishment on Islamic Street Prayers

Via Billy

French presidential candidate, Marine LePen, has weighed-in on the controversial Islamic street prayers taking place in the Paris suburb of Clichy, criticizing her main rivals and their previous administrations’ ‘’laxity’’ for not tackling ‘’communitarianism’’ and the conditions under which such gatherings are taking place.

Whilst stating her respect for all religions and faiths, LePen made it clear that under her leadership the French Republic’s rules on secularism would be rigorously enforced, as she called the daily gatherings just outside of Paris more political and ideological than religious.

‘’There is no reason whatsoever justifying that we tolerate these proselytizing expressions in the public place’’, she declared – referring to the scenes at Clichy where Islamic prayers are said in contravention of French law – affirming that the street is a public space and that the by-products of such demonstrations would include radicalization.

A North Carolina election worker has been charged with illegally altering voter records so hundreds of felons could vote, The News and Observer reports.

Joy Yvette Wilkerson, a former temporary election worker in Granville County, N.C., accessed voter registration records and restored the active voting status of 250 convicted felons in the county. The activity, which was initially discovered by the Granville County Board of Elections last June, is a felony.

Susan Rice's Unraveling Web of Lies: Obama's attack on our democracy becomes too clear to ignore.

Via David "* Rice is a proven - DOCUMENTED - liar.  She needs to be put under oath as both the Senate and House are recommending. Right now she's saying she won't go; subpoena her.  And then, if she pleads the Fifth (as she will), use that to crucify her and file "Contempt of Congress" charges.  SQUEEZE."

Former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice is once again in the news, embroiled in a growing scandal. Bloomberg News has reported this week that Rice requested or directed the unmasking of the identities of U.S. persons in raw intelligence reports, who were involved with the Trump transition team. The communications of these individuals were apparently collected incidentally during the course of electronic monitoring of communications involving foreign officials of interest. Normally, Americans’ identities are masked, with generic references such as the title "U.S. Person One."

EU To Issue Ultimatum To Poland And Hungary: Accept More Refugees Or Get Out…

Via David

A number of countries are allegedly preparing an ultimatum for Hungary and Poland to either accept more refugees or leave the European Union.

Both countries have ignored a push from the EU to relocate 160,000 migrants proportionally across the union. The Times reported Tuesday that Germany, France and up to 21 other countries are prepared to demand Hungary and Poland accept the quotas if they want to stay in the EU.

“They will have to make a choice: are they in the European system or not?” an unnamed senior diplomatic source told The Times. “You cannot blackmail the EU, unity has a price.”

The European Court of Justice is expected to rule in favor of quotas by the end of the year. If countries still refuse to cooperate, the EU will impose financial and political sanctions.

Assad lynch mob.

I have returned from a trip to take care of some family business. Fran's careful work to reestablish the credibility of his blog is now for naught. He's back!!!!

The story of the hour is the rush to judgment on who was responsible for the deaths in a Syrian town said to be due to some kind of gas. The one responsible is none other than Assad, Mad Dog Ophthalmologist. The amount of intellectual dishonesty one has to wade through in listening to very eminent men convinced of this fact is stunning.

On grounds of cui bono alone a reasonable person would have to conclude the opposite, namely, that Assad gains nothing by reckless chemical weapon use against civilians, or even military ones. The very indiscriminate nature of chemical weapons makes them a poor choice and Assad's forces have been doing very well with conventional weapons alone. Why mess with success?

On Friday morning an Islamic terrorist stole a truck and ran down innocent pedestrians in the street in Stockholm, Sweden.

The terrorist then rammed into a department store. The Uzbek Muslim was later arrested by police.

The anti-immigration Sweden Democrat party hit a record and became the largest party in the country following the terror attack.

Fria Tider reported (rough translation):
Sweden Democrats set a new record in the News Today / Sentios poll for April. The party would receive the full 27.2 percent if elections were held today.

27.2 percent is the largest support SD ever received in a Sentiomätning.

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) spent $61 million on political activities and lobbying in 2016, as well as an additional $19 million on the Fight for $15 movement. Now that spending is leading to massive layoffs.

The powerful union’s most recent Department of Labor filings revealed that the union spent $61.6 million, or about 20 percent of its $314.6 million budget, on political activities, including Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign, according to Bill McMorris of the Washington Free Beacon.

Teachers Should Allow Ebonics Because English Grammar Is Too Hard For Minorities To Learn

An undergraduate researcher at the University of Wisconsin–Madison has gained national acclaim for her research showing, she says, that members of minority groups feel oppressed by standard, grammatical English.

The researcher is Erika Gallagher, reports The Daily Cardinal, the student newspaper on the taxpayer-funded campus.

Gallagher’s research was chosen to be presented at the Collegiate Conference on Composition and Communication in Portland, Oregon earlier this semester.

The War in Syria and the Mess We Created

Via Billy

Many are cheering President Donald Trump's decision to retaliate against Syrian PMany are cheering President Donald Trump's decision to retaliate against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for the chemical weapons attack he allegedly launched against his own people. It isn't hard to understand how Trump's decision can garner the support of so many Americans who feel a sense of outrage that a government would attack its own people. Americans, rightfully so, hold a moral high ground concerning the relationship between governments and the people they govern.  Unfortunately, there is no solid evidence that Assad is the one responsible for the attack.

North Korea vows response to 'reckless' US Navy move

Via Billy

North Korea denounced the US deployment of a naval strike group to the region Tuesday, warning it is ready for "war" as Washington tightens the screws on the nuclear-armed state.

The strike group -- which includes the Nimitz-class aircraft supercarrier USS Carl Vinson -- cancelled a planned trip to Australia this weekend to head to the Korean peninsula in a show of force.

"This goes to prove that the US reckless moves for invading the DPRK have reached a serious phase," a spokesman for the North's foreign ministry said according to state news agency KCNA.

"The DPRK is ready to react to any mode of war desired by the US," he said, using the country's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
