Tiananmen Survivor: China Is ‘More Dangerous and Vicious than Nazi Germany’

Chinese pro-democracy activist and survivor of the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre Rose Tang warned the world that the Chinese Communist Party is the “world’s largest terrorist organization” in an interview commemorating the event on Friday with the human rights magazine Bitter Winter.

Tang recalled watching an army of tanks crush student-erected tents – and those inside them – and navigating piles of bodies in an attempt to escape. People’s Liberation Army soldiers killed not just student protesters and dissidents, but any civilian in range, she recalled, including children.

After the fiasco of our 2020 national election, the subject of Election Integrity is an issue that is on everyone’s minds.  If it’s not on your mind, it certainly should be.  Every fraudulent vote cast and counted undermines the legitimacy of the election results and widens the already deep divisions in our nation.

In any election, if your side loses but you believe the results are honest and accurate, a rational person would conclude that, next election, you have to work harder to convince others that your agenda is better for the future.  If your side loses, and there is ample evidence that the other side cheated in numerous ways to win, you stop believing in the system and your ability to create change through the legal election process.

4 teens, including 3 Tarboro High School students, killed in head-on crash near Greenville

Four teens died when a box truck crossed a median and hit their vehicle head on in Pitt County.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol said it happened on US 264 west of Greenville just a few minutes before noon Thursday.

Miami Police Chief Calls for More Federal Gun Control in Wake of Mass Murders in His City

 

The chief of the Miami Police Department is blaming two high-profile drive-by shootings over the weekend on a supposed lack of federal gun control. The incidents left three people dead and at least 26 people wounded.

“It’s just an indication of the problem we have with the scourge of gun violence in this country that we need to do much more at a federal level to stop,” Art Acevedo, chief of the Miami Police Department, told CBS’ Face the Nation.

“We need to have universal background checks. We need to make burglarizing these licensed gun stores a federal crime with mandatory sentencing. And we need the federal government and both sides to address this issue,” he said. “Because without legislation, without certainty as it relates to holding these criminal accountable, we’re never going to get through this summer without much more death and destruction.”
