News from France, 1940 -
Military orders now forbid the French to do things which the German
people have not been allowed to do since Hitler came to power. To own
radio senders or to listen to foreign broadcasts, to organize public
meetings and distribute pamphlets, to disseminate anti-German news in
any form, to retain possession of firearms—all these things are
prohibited for the subjugated people of France. [It could never happen here, we said]

The origin of FFL's and how the Reich closed the "gun show loophole" -
By 1928, the Weimar republic was ready to enact a comprehensive
firearms law. The Gesetz über Schußwaffen und Munition (Law on Firearms
and Ammunition) required a license to manufacture, assemble, or repair
firearms and ammunition, or even to reload cartridges. A license was
also required to sell firearms as a trade. Trade in firearms was
prohibited at annual fairs, shooting competitions, and other events.

There is no legitimate act, whether by
Congress, law, the Constitution or any other means to deprive you of
your natural rights, because you are endowed with them by virtue of
being human... If you are an elected official and take any position or
advocate any law to constrain the ownership of small arms by the people,
as defined in our Constitution, you are deserving of immediate
impeachment along with both civil damages and criminal imprisonment.

If you compare white populations, we have the
same murder rate as Belgium. So perhaps it's not a gun problem, it is a
demographic problem, which liberals are the ones pushing, pushing,
pushing.

Note from Remus - This is deeply troubling: an all-volunteer standing army whose junior officer corps is being taught to understand the citizenry as a problem to be solved—by them. We needn't guess who will and who will not be fast-tracked in the, formerly our, Army. You have only to see the intimidating random roadblocks, or smokers standing outside in foul weather, or citizens of both sexes and all ages being invasively searched by TSA goons, or the otherwise puzzling drive to disarm Joe Sixpack to understand what's being assembled in plain sight, why and by whom. And all this at the same time a Plowshares Fundactivist has been nominated for Secretary of Defense, an outfit which promises to "third world" the US military.

A Vietnamese machine gunner lies dead in his
foxhole with hundreds of shells surrounding him. The knee-deep spent
shells are silent proof that he fought to his death when Viet Cong
overran his position at the Michelin Rubber Plantation, 45 miles
northwest of Saigon. The battleground was retaken today and over a
hundred corpses recovered.

The Battle Of Athens, Tennessee

As Recently As 1946, American Citizens Were
Forced To Take Up Arms As A Last Resort
Against Corrupt Government Officials.
Published in Guns & Ammo October 1995, pp. 50-51
On August 1-2, 1946, some Americans, brutalized by their county government, used armed force as a last resort to overturn it. These Americans wanted honest open elections. For years they had asked for state or federal election monitors to prevent vote fraud (forged ballots, secret ballot counts and intimidation by armed sheriff's deputies) by the local political boss. They got no help.
These Americans' absolute refusal to knuckle under had been hardened by service in World War II. Having fought to free other countries from murderous regimes, they rejected vicious abuse by their county government.
These Americans had a choice. Their state's Constitution -- Article 1, Section 26 -- recorded their right to keep and bear arms for the common defense. Few "gun control" laws had been enacted.
These Americans were residents of McMinn County, which is located between Chattanooga and Knoxville in Eastern Tennessee. The two main towns were Athens and Etowah. McMinn County residents had long been independent political thinkers. For a long time they also had: accepted bribe-taking by politicians and/or the sheriff to overlook illicit whiskey-making and gambling; financed the sheriff's department from fines-usually for speeding or public drunkenness which promoted false arrests; and put up with voting fraud by both Democrats and Republicans.
The wealthy Cantrell family, of Etowah, backed Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the 1932 election, hoping New Deal programs would revive the local economy and help Democrats to replace Republicans in the county government. So it proved.
Paul Cantrell was elected sheriff in the 1936,1938 and 1940 elections, but by slim margins. The sheriff was the key county official. Cantrell was elected to the state senate in 1942 and 1944; his chief deputy, Pat Mansfield, was elected sheriff. In 1946 Paul Cantrell again sought the sheriff's office.
At the end of 1945, some 3,000 battle-hardened veterans returned to McMinn County; the GIs held Cantrell politically responsible for Mansfield's doings. Early in 1946, some newly returned ex-GIs decided to challenge Cantrell politically by offering an all-ex-GI, non-partisan ticket. They promised a fraud-free election, stating in ads and speeches that there would be an honest ballot count and reform of county government.
At a rally, a GI speaker said, "The principles that we fought for in this past war do not exist in McMinn County. We fought for democracy because we believe in democracy but not the form we live under in this county" (Daily Post-Athenian, 17 June 1946, p.1 ). At the end of July 1946, 159 McMinn County GIs petitioned the FBI to send election monitors. There was no response. The Department of Justice had not responded to McMinn County residents' complaints of election fraud in 1940, 1942 and 1944.

Major exhibitors pull out of Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show
Via Terry
Cabela's, one of the United States' great outdoor retail stores, has pulled out of the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show in Pennsylvania in opposition to the ban on displays of assault rifles and high capacity ammunition magazines.
Some big names in the hunting media and vending have stood up to the organizers of the Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show. Following the tragic shooting in December at Sandy Hook School in Connecticut, and President Obama's sweeping executive orders on gun violence, many states and organizations have themselves pushed for changes in certain gun and ammunition restrictions. Reed Exhibitions, organizers of the show in Pennsylvania, followed suit and imposed restrictions on the display of assault weapons and high capacity ammunition magazines.

From their web site:
"The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show is a unique celebration of the authentic hunting and fishing traditions that are cherished by millions of Americans and their families. We are proud to celebrate these pastimes by featuring 1,200 exhibitors offering a diverse range of products from outfitters to fishing boats and RVs, from archery to art and from clothes to cabins.
"As a hunting-focused event, we welcome exhibitors who wish to showcase products and firearms that serve the traditional needs of the sport. Clearly, we strongly support the 2nd Amendment. However, this year we have made the decision not to include certain products that in the current climate may attract negative attention that would distract from the strong focus on hunting and fishing at this family-oriented event and possibly disrupt the broader positive experience of our guests.
"ESS is proud to participate in the preservation and promotion of the rich hunting and fishing tradition passed from generation to generation by American families."The show, billed as the largest on the east coast, runs from February 2-10. The effect this weekend was swift as big names in the industry made their opinions known on social media outlets. One of the major sponsors, Cabela's, completely pulled out of the event.
From the Cabela's Facebook page:
"Due to recent changes made by Reed Exhibitions regarding the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, Cabela’s will no longer sponsor this year’s event. After careful consideration regarding Cabela’s business practices, and the feelings of our customers, Cabela’s will, unfortunately, not have a presence at the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show."

Black Dem Lawmaker Threatens White Speaker-Elect With Loaded Gun
VERBATIM
While the political theater plays out in Washington and when the lights and cameras are not rolling as Republicans and Democrats pretend to be opposed to one another, it hasn’t come to the point of pulling guns on each other, yet. But that is not the case in Las Vegas, Nevada. On Saturday about 3:45 pm police responded to a call from Democrat Speaker-elect Marilyn Kirkpatrick alleged that Assemblyman Steven Brooks had threatened to shoot her.
According to KTNV,
Assemblyman Steven Brooks, 40, of North Las Vegas made threats to harm a public official Saturday afternoon, police said in a news release Sunday morning. A source said he was arrested with a loaded gun after threatening to shoot Kirkpatrick.
Kirkpatrick and witnesses who corroborated the allegation prompted police to begin searching for Brooks. About 5:30 p.m., Brooks was seen driving in the area of Carey Avenue and Mt. Hood Street, where he was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop.
Another Democratic source with knowledge of the situation said Brooks publicly threatened to harm Kirkpatrick because he was unhappy with the committee assignments given to him by Kirkpatrick. The 2013 Legislature begins Feb. 4.So Brooks goes off the deep end for getting an assignment he didn’t like and decides to issue a threat of gun violence against a fellow female Democrat. Talk about a war on women!
The Las Vegas-Review Journal reported that Brooks spent the night in custody.
Brooks was first elected in 2010 and represents Assembly District 17. He is forty years old and has four children.
Is it me or is all of the crazy people who intend on just randomly shooting people Democrats?
Perhaps, if we are looking to be serious about controlling guns in the hands of people who should not have them, we should first look to see if they are registered Democrats.
NY Republican Assemblyman Shows What Democrats Are Really After: Gun Confiscation
New York State Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin provides video evidence that New York, despite passing massive legislation into law against the Second Amendment demonstrates that Democrats had even more “secret” legislation they wanted kept from the public eye. McLaughlin provided video evidence to demonstrate that documents his claims.
On his Facebook page, McLaughlin not only shared the video, but also the following:
Here it is. This is the video where I was asked to keep the Democrat proposals for the NY SAFE Act away from the public. This list was given to me by a colleague and it is not confidential.
This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None of these amendments were included in the final bill thanks to us fighting back. I will not stand silent while these unpatriotic proposals are pathetically thrown at us a 11 o’clock at night:
1. Confiscation of “assault weapons”
2. Confiscation o ten round clips
3. Statewide database for ALL Guns
4. Continue to allow pistol permit holder’s information to be replaced to the public
5. Label semiautomatic shotguns with more than 5 rounds or pistol grips as “assault weapons”
6. Limit the number of rounds in a magazine to 5 and confiscation and forfeiture of banned magazines
7. Limit possession to no more than two (2) magazines
8. Limit purchase of guns to one gun per person per month
9. Require re-licensing of all pistol permit owners
10. Require renewal of all pistol permits every five years
11. State issued pistol permits
12. Micro-stamping of all guns in New York State
13. Require licensing of all gun ammo dealers
14. Mandatory locking of guns at home
15. Fee for licensing, registering weapons
