A Vietnamese machine gunner lies dead in his
foxhole with hundreds of shells surrounding him. The knee-deep spent
shells are silent proof that he fought to his death when Viet Cong
overran his position at the Michelin Rubber Plantation, 45 miles
northwest of Saigon. The battleground was retaken today and over a
hundred corpses recovered.

Surrender is really never an option... against an enemy that will see you dead one way or another. Make the bastards die hard for every inch of ground the take...
ReplyDeleteYes and reminds me of a French unit that was abandoned in the mountains of Vietnam and when realizing such, sent a last radio message to........ at least drop them some ammo so they could die fighting like soldiers. Of course Obama did the same the same thing to the Seals.
DeleteDepressing.. As a former soldier makes me emotional.
ReplyDeleteWhat's really so bad is the fact American boys NEVER should have been over there in the first place. Sadder still are the facts the American boys sent there were lied to and didn't have a clue as to what they were really fighting for.
ReplyDeleteThe Vietnamese gunner in the foxhole wasn't actually fighting for a real and free South Vietnam either, but he thought he was, and with all his heart he died thinking it a worthy cause. No sir'ree, all the one's supporting the USA were unwittingly serving another higher power. Guess who?
All of'ya have been tricked, fooled, lied to and propagandized into fighting the Khazar bankers wars for them in order they control another country. Oddly and ironically, Vietnam today is under the banker's control in spite of your losses.

& the Communist government is so corrupt, it makes the Thieu government look lily white. Just unbelievable.
DeleteNever thought of it that way, but yeah it does!
