Trump hits 30 percent in new poll
Via Billy
Donald Trump has reached a new high in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
According to a Monmouth University survey released on Thursday, Trump takes 30 percent support nationally, a four-point gain over the same survey from before the first GOP debate.
Ben Carson is a distant second place in the poll, taking 18 percent support. The retired neurosurgeon has risen sharply in the polls over the past month. He was at only 5 percent support in the same poll from early August.
The rest of the Republican field isn’t even in the same ballpark.

Russia Is Going To Pass A Law Formally Dumping The U.S. Dollar
Via Michael
Russian President Vladimir Putin has introduced legislation that would deal a tremendous blow to the U.S. dollar. If Putin gets his way, and he almost certainly will, the U.S. dollar will be eliminated from trade between nations that belong to the Commonwealth of Independent States. In addition to Russia, that list of countries includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Obviously this would not mean “the death of the dollar”, but it would be a very significant step toward the end of the era of the absolute dominance of the U.S. dollar.
Most people don’t realize this, but more U.S. dollars are actually used outside of the United States than are used inside this country. If the rest of the planet decides to stop accumulating dollars, using them to trade with one another, and loaning them back to us at ultra-low interest rates, we are going to be in for a world of hurt. Unfortunately for us, it is only a matter of time until that happens.

U.S. trying to keep Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal out of slain agent's trial
Via avordvet
The U.S. government is fighting to keep details of how its own
federal gun agents let Mexican drug cartels buy rifles in Arizona
illegally out of an upcoming murder trial in which two men will be tried
for the killing of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry who died after
he ran into men carrying those same illegal guns.
In a court filing Monday, prosecutors are trying to keep some details about the guns found at the slain agent’s murder scene away from the jury.

Accessory To Murder Is A Crime… The Reverend Needs To Do Time
Via comment by Badger on Black Lives Matter Activist Arrested for Online Th...
Another Police officer has died at the
hands of a racist thug inspired by a thug who calls himself a reverend.
Accessory to murder is a crime and the reverend needs to do time. Cops
are losing their lives to cowards inspired by this preacher of hate. To
incite a riot is a crime, but to incite murder of police is even worse.
Is there not one prosecutor in this country who isn’t afraid of this
racist thug. Obama has no authority to dictate protection and our
constitution demands justice for the people of this country.
Our laws
were never written to punish anyone. Our laws are in place to protect
everyone. Those laws demand justice for the families of our fallen like
the mayor of Baltimore demanded for Freddy Gray. Obama and Holder will
hold a press conference seeking justice for those out committing crimes.
When are they going to speak out against the crimes being committed
against our law abiding citizens both black and white.

Where Should Syrian Refugees Settle?
Via Skynet
There’s much discussion in the press about where it would be best for Arab refugees from Syria to settle: Would they be best off in Munich? London? Reykjavik? Or Minneapolis?
Which white people most need the blessings of diversity provided by Sunnis and Shi’ites?
(Obviously, Syrian Arabs couldn’t go to other Arab countries like Qatar. Don’t be silly.)
The sophisticated reasoning of 2015 is that if you and your countrymen blow up your own country through your sheer mutual bloodymindedness, you therefore have an unassailable moral claim to inhabit the nicest countries on other continents. If you are a young fellow in your prime, why should you have to settle for a refugee camp in neighboring Turkey when there are Swedish girls unmolested in Malmo and English girls unpimped in Rotherham?
Think of The Children!
This place looks nice (except for the tank)
I disagree as I think the tank gives character to the landscape and would be quite useful eliminating illegal aliens. :)

Confederate Cross of Honor ceremony cancelled
Via Billy
I have refused to say the pledge for some years now and all should do the same.
The Camp has decided to cancel the Confederate Cross of Honor Dedication
ceremony which was scheduled to occur later this month.
The military junta at Fort Gordon stated the re-enactors and had to leave
and exit the base wearing civilian clothes, the Confederate battle flag would
not be allowed in the cemetery nor would Dixie be allowed to be sung at the
cemetery.
Welcome to the new Amerika! Needless to say, I'm so glad we removed
the 50 star flag from our camp meetings. It is no longer a symbol of
freedom or "liberty and justice for all" anymore. Note CTM *WE replaced it
with "The Cowpens Flag"
Sincerely, for The Cause,
--Arnold
Police say Millis officer's story of gunman was 'fabricated'
Via Iver
An officer's story of a gunman shooting at him, causing him to crash before his cruiser caught fire was "fabricated," according to police.
Mass. State Police responded to Millis after shots were reportedly fired at a cruiser Wednesday. State police were on scene after an officer told police his cruiser was struck just before 3 p.m. State police responded along with their Air Wing, detectives and ballistic units.
SkyFOX flew over the scene on Forest Road where an officer said he was checking on a disabled vehicle when he was shot at 3 times. The officer said he fired back, then crashed when he attempted to follow the vehicle. Then, he told police, his cruiser caught fire.

Kentucky clerk Kim Davis jailed, refuses to let deputy clerks issue gay marriage licenses
Via Billy
Kim Davis, the Kentucky court clerk who has repeatedly refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, will remain jailed for contempt after refusing a compromise that would have allowed deputy clerks to issue the licenses.
Davis and her deputy clerks were summoned to appear before U.S. District Judge David Bunning after citing her religious beliefs and "God's authority" to deny the issuance of the licenses, the Associated Press reports.
Five of the six deputies had agreed to issue the licenses -- only her son would not relent -- but Davis refused to authorize them to do so.
