Americans agree with President Donald Trump's defense of Confederate monuments, and few think getting rid of the statues will lessen racial tensions, a new poll shows.

The Rasmussen Reports survey released Monday found 50 percent of registered voters agree with Trump's tweet it is "sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments."
According to the survey, 37 percent disagree with the tweet and 12 percent are undecided.
On whether removal of the monuments will help race relations, 28 percent believe it will – but 39 percent think removal will only hurt relations. Twenty-six percent say removal would not have any impact.
Rasmussen also found 43 percent of black Americans and 42 percent of other minority voters are more likely than whites, at 38 percent, to think removal will only hurt relations.

  1. What percentage of people answer these polls honestly?

What we need is for the schools and media to stop manipulating Americans. Race relations would be just fine if people left things alone.

Reference the race relations before Obama.

  2. However, a militant, mobilized minority is always more potent than a majority that can't be bothered to stir its stumps. The current wave of destruction will continue until the majority gets off its ass and goes on the offensive -- and I don't mean by voting!
