"A recent FOIA request by the Electronic Freedom Foundation found some creepy federal behavior. The feds are monitoring Facebook and other social networking sites and using the aggregate data such as the number of friends, as well as more identifying information such as the content of posts and a person's social network to make an assessment about how much of a risk a person represents to the federal government. It's information technology used by Big Government to protect Big Government. If they're admitting to doing this, what are they doing that they aren't admitting?
"I'm shocked! I never would have guessed they'd do that! (Yes, it's sarcasm.)
People are implicating themselves, one tweet at a time.
At this point, I'm now thinking of setting up social networking accounts and managing them as sources of disinformation!":-)
