Police Killings = Predictable Consequences

There isn't an organized "war on cops" anymore than there is an actual "war on criminals" being waged by the police. This is simply the natural reaction to the police unilaterally deciding to militarize their police operations and allow their officers to preemptively shoot people who aren't shooting at them. It doesn't take a whole lot of well-covered incidents where police shoot unarmed and even handcuffed men for criminals to realize that they are in a no quarter situation whenever they find themselves facing arrest.

  1. There is a war on cops, just like the cops are at war with criminals. The war just became a lot more personal. My opinion on it may differ from yours a bit.

Cops are catching the bad guys, the bad guys are serving partial sentences. After prison they are stronger and better connected, and the original "Fear of Prison" they had before their first stint is gone. NOW they are not surrendering without fight or flight. Some of those fights are turning deadly. On top of that, the bad guys get to "Fight" without rules. The Cops pretty much are under worse ROE's than our guys in Afghanistan. They must follow the book or get it thrown at em.

I'm in a pretty good area "Cop" wise. I got a real good bunch of them in my area. I've heard the opposite exists elsewhere but I haven't personally seen it.

    My two cents.

  2. Good points, and I've never had any problem at all with them, in fact as far as I can remember, nothing but politeness. Of course, not living in cities helps immensely. Life certainly has changed though. I remember when I was put on the bus by my mother to go visit my grandmother in Littleton, NC at a young age and I was picked up by the Police Chief and "carried" to my grandmother's!:)
