Confederate Soldier Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans

Via Robert, Belle Grove
"Yesterday while photographing in Metairie Cemetery here in New Orleans I took this image of the Confederate soldier standing guard in front of the Tomb of the Army of Tennessee. I have loved this statue for years. The face is almost life like and the texture of his cloak though worn by years of wind and rain is still delicate and gentle to the eye. He stands guard and ever ready to defend his fallen comrades. I hope y'all like it."
