She sounds like I did when I was giving presentations in Saigon for a number of months and the Embassy doctor kept saying it was laryngitis. Hopefully, they'll have to cut her tongue off!:)

How stupid can these pigs be? I guess they don't believe history. I know on one of the videos yesterday, some idiot stated that there is no way of knowing if they really killed 100 million. I guess that if it was only half of that, then he would approve.

A good friend came down with a sore throat. Kept working - it got worse. Finally went to Dr. - antibiotics, didn't help.
Kept working... Then one morning he cleared his throat and spit out a mouthful of blood. Calls his Doc, goes right over.
Doc looks in his throat, says "Oh, s**t! You need to see an ENT, like NOW - I'm going to call him, you'll go right over..."
ENT looks in his throat, says "Oh, s**t! You need to go to ER, like NOW - I'm going to call, you'll go right over..."
ER Doc looks in his throat, says "Oh, s**t! You need to see an Oncologist, like NOW - I'm going to call him, he'll come right over..."
Oncology Doc looks in his throat, says "Oh, s**t! You're not going home!"
Throat/tonsil cancer, Stage 4A. "4b" is - basically - a BOX! Thankfully, he had some "connections" and ended up being the first guy in the state who had this sort of thing treated with the "daVinci robot" thing... Apparently the standard surgery for this sort of cancer is pure hell, and the treatment after even worse -- leaves 'em with no salivary glands, taste-buds...
In his case, it was still a bad year or so - he ended up needing more chemo/radiation than originally thought because the robotic surgery let them slice so finely that they were afraid they'd not gone deep enough to be sure of getting all the cancer...
Even so, he's healthy today - little short of a miracle!
The SCARY part is that Docs say guys our age are going to have an epidemic of this sort of thing - it's caused by the "HPV" virus - the same thing the "gardasil" shot is supposed to prevent... The same virus causes cervical cancer in women - which should make it easier to understand how we guys get it in our throat... ;o)
Don't DARE suggest to my bud that he got his from eatin' bad coochie though - he gets INCENSED for some reason and he's a pretty big dude... I figure he knows its true - as he doth protest entirely too much, but I digress...

Man, his doctor was criminal. (My father was a country doctor) It is an absolutely miracle he is alive. How long has it been?
