No martial law

I’ve received a number of e-mails and comments about an Executive Order signed by Obama on Friday, titled National Defenses Resources Preparedness, and what it means.

It appears that this Executive Order is an update of prior Executive Orders signed in 1988 and 1994 which elaborate similar powers in time of war or national emergency. The 1994 Order in particular was not limited to national emergency:

The United States must have an industrial and technology base capable of meeting national defense requirements, and capable of contributing to the technological superiority of its defense equipment in peacetime and in times of national emergency.

Now I’ve not redlined the various versions, and if someone wants to make the argument that this is an expansion of presidential powers, then do so based on actual language.

There is enough that Obama actually does wrong without creating claims which do not hold up to scrutiny.

I’m not ruling out the possibility that this is more than it seems, but unless and until someone does more than merely state that martial law is coming, I’ll consider this to be routine.

  1. The professor is probably correct with regards to this is the same old, same old. People seem to forget, ignore or agree with the past mis-justice of the US government. Waco, Ruby Ridge how bout 1860?
The mistake is thinking any of the establishment politicians will change the course of government.
On a linear plane the R's and D' simply occupy a different end of the spectrum. There is no real choice or differing plan of governance from either side.
So I agree same old same old. It doesn't change the fact that it is a gross overreach of government and one day soon I fear we'll all see this lackadaisical point of view slap these folks in the face.

  3. Right on Brock. What is different between today and yesterday? The puzzle is almost in place. Yesterday only a few pieces were in place & no one could make it out.

Today, well the puzzle is almost complete. It's completed enough to figure out what the picture is going to be.

I believe this is a very serious step the Messiah is taking for complete power. Now he needs the U.N. Gun Band Treaty to be in effect next.

Anyone who actually attempts to ban all guns is in for a rude awakening.

  6. I've listened to all this so much, I don't know what to believe anymore. I'm just gonna live. I think all these people should stop wasting your life! It's precious! You're worrying about the wrong things.. when you should really be worried about, is it God or man?
