This new law will benefit residents of states that do not require a concealed carry permit. Oklahoma legislators have rather politely concluded that if that's how it works in other states, then Oklahoma's willing to respect that. Of course, gun owners are still going to need to prove their residence if they want to benefit from this new law. Concealed carriers will need to keep their weapon hidden at all times and they will need to carry ID to confirm that they are a legal resident of a permit-free state.
More @ GUNS
we are making progress man. Slow going but remember WE let it get to this point. We failed to get involved when these laws were taking place. When the "first step" was "Not so bad" and it led to further restrictions.
ReplyDeleteKUDOS to Oklahoma for electing a Gov with nuts. IF she has a sister we could use one out here.
Sooner or later we're either going to be closer to AZ style gun laws or CA style. CA is about to go into meltdown over the law suits to our gun rights. Heller ruling opened the door BIG TIME!
we are making progress man.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, one step at a time.
Well sometimes i wonder if the feds and the UN are chuckling quietly at all this positive legislation (pro 2nd amendment) because they really believe with a stroke if the POTUS's pen it's all moot, and they come collecting.....
ReplyDeleteYeah, truly from my cold, dead hands....
