Intruder shot by Sheffield Lake resident

A man was shot during a break-in at a Sheffield Lake apartment Sunday morning, according to Sheffield Lake police. The resident at an apartment at 5115 Lake Road confronted an intruder in his apartment and the intruder was able to get a hold of a gun inside the apartment, Capt. Tony Campo said.

The intruder and resident struggled over the gun and the resident was able to get a hold of the gun, shooting the intruder several times in the legs, Campo said.
