It suck to have the neo-cons in the GOP leadership play the "my way of the highway" at this point. Someone made the comment we should just vote for Romney and then work out the the problems in house after he wins.
Seems I heard that in 2000 and 2004 also. But with most attention spans rivaling a gnat, who can blame the elite for pulling the same hat trick on a gaggle of "My team rules!" morons.

You are correct. These people are now in denial. All of their efforts have been shown to be in vain. Instead of accepting this fact and regrouping, they are falling in line with two false assumptions to cover their cowardice:
1. It does not matter: we have to get rid of Obama no matter what the price. 2. It is Ron Paul's fault that the GOP had to change the rules and have now made him the scapegoat.
I see no additional news concerning Russia's abandonment of their only Mediterranean seaports: Tartus and Latakia.
