Actually, I haven't read a lot about Rommel. I know him by reputation mostly. I know he was a genius of tank warfare and at least as good a tank general as Patton. I know he was an old school German officer, like von Stauffenberg, rather than a true Nazi and that he was collateral damage from the Valkyrie plot.
