I hope it's legal and doesn't offend you. I'm downloading all your posts to read at my leisure. Especially those about Vietnam. I've had many discussions with returned Vietnam vets about Agent Orange. My Aerospace company, Hercules, still had its original chemical manufacturing arm and I believe it, not me, made Agent Orange, or an intermediate for it.
There are things that are important to me that others don't understand. I live by a code. One of its tenets is, "Made direct amends to such people (those we have harmed), whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others."
I have for 30 years interpreted the word "such" to mean, "find someone like the one you harmed and make the amends to them." This is not a matter of guilt. It is about paying debts. I have no guilt. The code promises incredible results and I have surely realized incredible promises. I'll have to examine Agent Orange and our vets. Then maybe I'll get around to cluster bombs and DU cores while I'm still here.
I know I make people uncomfortable with my brutal honesty and I will be ruled by Brock, on whether to comment or not. I have been accused of marching to the sound of a different drummer. My black platoon sergeant at Fort Jackson in January, 1957, also said to the whole company that he had never seen a platoon guide as tall as me who marched so well. I only toddle now.
We thought it was great since it cleared foliage I changed my mind when I got cancer from it, though.:) More Vietnam stuff below if interested.
