I watched last night's debate. First one I've watched for this election. My comment to my family today in email was, "God help America, but don't ask me why he should." I am no longer religious but I often quote the bible. Hosea said it best. "My people perish for lack of knowledge." And so we do.
Exactly. I hope I check out of here before you do, Brock. I bought another one of those Rebel Pride knives and hope to award it personally in May.
On another Southern talking site I read that we in the South should not be called Rebels. I disagree. The South has been an occupied sub-nation since 1865. Secession now will be viewed as more rebellious even than in 1861. Nonetheless, let it happen in my lifetime.
That's the one I read. A brilliant statement by a wise man but I think the entrenched rulers will always consider secessionists to be rebels, no matter what we call ourselves. "Revolutionary" is too ambitious a title for me. I'm content to be a rebel.
Wow. I was scared I was going to be kicked out over a word. In a meeting at noon today, I told them all about attending a group for four years, putting a lot of money into it, and then being kicked out for using one wrong word "narc." Of course it freed me from some evil people which wouldn't be the case if I lost Free North Carolina.
I hope you find that quote. You have made my day for the umpteenth time. HWS
Maybe they just can't tell the difference between debates anymore. They've been so similar over the last few cycles, it can be hard to tell 'em apart.
ReplyDeleteTrue, but it's obvious they were lying.

ReplyDeleteI can't stand to view Hussein and his opposition isn't much better.

ReplyDeleteMe too! I've got a great quote about reveling in being called a rebel, but can't find it right now.

I glory in being called Rebel, as were my ancestors in the Revolutionary War and the Late Unpleasantness.:)
