Authorities are investigating a home invasion in south Georgia that claimed the life of a Baxley woman, who was slain while her husband was tied up and allowed to live.

The Florida Times-Union reports (http://bit.ly/13dyMaK) that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is probing the crime in Appling County.

Appling County sheriff's officials say 26-year-old Jonathan Courson told investigators that two men forced their way into the couple's home in the Oak Ridge subdivision home around 4 a.m. Friday.

Courson said the two men tied up him and his wife, 28-year-old Mandy Courson, and later killed her.
Appling County Sheriff Benny DeLoach asked the GBI for assistance and agents were dispatched from three offices.

Appling County is about 200 miles southeast of Atlanta.

  2. Or it was a hit on his wife. This one sounds fishy.

  3. Their kids were away at the time, being taken care of by grandparents, or someone else.

He whacked her, or had her whacked.

    What a dumbass.
