Somebody tell these idiots that the is NO tobacco subsidy and even when there was it was totally financed by the farmers and the tobacco companies by purchase and re-sell of tobacco that sold below the support price. The program was totally self funded except for a small amount of administrative cost born by the government. The so called "subsidy" was completely ended about 5 years ago when the tobacco companies funded a buy out of all tobacco production quotas from farmers and land owners. Tobacco is now grown on contract with the tobacco companies.
