ReplyDeleteSloppy bookkeeping and an inability to catch a thief who stole over a dozen guns is why they lost their ticket. Assuming, that is, that there wasn't anything more underhanded going on and they're pleading incompetence to cover up their intentional malfeasance.

DeleteAdmittedly, it's not the New York Times, but they are local and have access to records to back up their reporting.
