This is a transcript of one of Trayvon’s friend Rachel Jeantel’s depositions to the prosecutor. “Dee Dee” is her nickname. It pretty much speaks for itself. One thing to note is that she says “couldn’t” twice, so she wasn’t misspeaking before her story changed to “could” after the prosecutor slyly suggests to her to change it. He’s basically saying “We want to convict George so you need to say you COULD hear that it was Trayvon.”. He’s almost cleanly saying, “You COULD hear, riiiiiiiight?”
